“Xicano Topography” focuses on the ever-expanding canon of Chicano art by showcasing a broad spectrum of voices, from realism to the hard-edge abstract. These artists navigate a complicated terrain of personal and professional intersectionality for which words are insufficient. This eclectic selection of Chicano artists are denizens an expansive Xicano landscape. The artists deal with the universality of the human condition but, through the lens of their Mexican-American experience. They do not employ the expected or popular visual cues. Instead, they have built their own language that fills in and maps out the topography that adds to the rich and complex tapestry of the Chicano tradition.

The four LA-established artists have shown extensively in galleries and museums throughout the U.S. and abroad. They continue to work with fervor and passion.
