Collingswood: Artist Reception: Big Ink
September 12, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
September 7 through October 30, 2026
Join us for an evening celebrating the art of the large-scale woodblock print. Perkins Center for the Arts and BIG INK invite you to celebrate the incredible art form behind this remarkable exhibition — a curated selection of monumental works drawn from BIG INK’s celebrated print collection, showcasing the diversity and vitality of contemporary woodblock printmaking across North America.
Curated by Sharon Keifer, the exhibition brings together 30 artists whose prints explore identity, memory, landscape, mythology, and the human experience at an extraordinary scale. From Ian Bailey, Allison Said, and Sushaila Sasha Yehya’s collaborative Joy Has No Borders to Abel Alejandre’s Street Fighter, Maria de Lujan Perez Hernandez’s Y Si No Hoy, Sera Manana, and D.L. Simmons’ Hello the House, these works reflect the full range of expression that the woodblock medium makes possible.
Come explore the exhibition, discover the craft and storytelling.
Want to create your own large-scale woodblock print? BIG INK returns to Collingswood on October 9–10, 2026 for a hands-on printmaking workshop — open to all skill levels. Carve a woodblock up to 40 by 96 inches and print it on BIG INK’s legendary mobile press, The Big Tuna. Register by July 27, 2026 at bigink.org/workshops/perkins-center-for-the-arts-2026.
Light refreshments will be served.
