“A Tale of Two Birds” is a work, which deals with the fertility of conflict. Male bravado, ballads of vengeance, familial ties, and the desire to survive are the seeds sown into the ground of such conflict. For some, it is a foreign problem while for others it is a personal story of two birds, two cities, two countries, two “paisanos” being weighed down by a bigger than life struggle. This is a struggle to escape and appeal to the heavens for refuge and guidance. Amidst this struggle there is a world in which even death seeks sanctuary.
